Whether you’re 30 or 80, alive and well or faced with a life-limiting illness, Avery for the Living is a 6-week exploration of your life and death that will bring more meaning to the life you’re living.
It’s never too early or late to talk about dying and death - it’s a part of life. All of us will be intimate with death at least once, yet most of society tries to pretend death doesn’t exist. Thus, most people neglect their education and understanding of death which results in a lack of practical and emotional skills to face what is inevitable.
In this program, you will:
Explore and document all meaningful facets of your life
Reflect on and chronicle the events and people that have made an impact on your life
Contemplate death and investigate your fears
Reflect on the regrets of the dying and take action on the areas of life you’d like to strengthen
Envision and document what you want your end of life to be like
Ritualize your legacy beyond your last breath
Record what’s most important to you in an Advance Serious Illness Plan.
